The Projects
of CBFNRM-RDMCFI will usually have a set of interrelated activities
that collectively are necessary in its
attempt to achieve the specific scientific, technological, socio-economic advances in community-based concerns.
The activities will be pursued through a systematic and scientific method by qualified members.
1.
Cooperate, collaborate,
and/or affiliate with various NGAs and NGOs for the
effective implementation of
CBFNRM objectives
2.
Conduct campaigns and facilitate actual activities of reforestation:
2.1. Develop tree seedling nurseries nationwide
2.2. Conduct tree planting activities in diff. strategic forest ,
and non-forest areas.
3.
Conduct specialized researches to collect vital data to support appropriate programs and projects. To gather, collate, and organize data from all sources and validate them for implementation purposes in Special Projects and
Programs.
4.
Develop and disseminate information to concerned parties
through its Training programs and Quarterly periodical and other media.
5.
Facilitate the marketing and exportation of CBFNRM products
6.
To attempt to effect
reform in the CBFMs by
identifying, lessening and/or removing structural, legal and economic
impediments to ecosystem-based community forest management.
7.
Exercise limited oversight
role in the system by fostering social equity and environmental responsibility.
8.
To collaborate with research
and academic institutions for scientific and effective methods of program design implementation
9.
To enhance national policy-makers’ understanding of the problems and potential of forest-dependent communities by representing CBFMs in legislative
bodies;
10. Whenever appropriate -- negotiate, facilitate,
or directly intervene in harmful and unlawful activities in the CBFNRM areas.
12. The CBFNRM-RDMCFI will support
diverse and multiple forest, and natural resources user groups.
13.
Encourage and assist implementation
of alternative and appropriate income
generation in the CBFM areas primarily the sale of
CBFM products in the flea
markets.
14. Community relations, livelihood, conflict resolution,
and empowerment.
